We’re beyond excited to introduce Yukiko Taylor, our new Executive Director, who brings an impressive 24 years of experience in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to her new role with DDPA! 🎉
Originally from Japan, Yukiko moved to Arkadelphia in 1996 to attend Ouachita Baptist University, where she graduated in 2000. She began her career at Group Living, Inc. (GLI), where she started without even a desk and worked her way up to Executive Director by 2017—demonstrating her relentless drive and leadership. Her unique blend of attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture makes her a powerhouse in advocating for individuals with IDD and providers alike.
Yukiko’s deep passion for improving the quality of life for individuals with IDD, combined with her expertise in leveraging social media, establishing strategic partnerships, and her extensive knowledge of DD services, makes her exceptionally qualified to lead DDPA. She has a clear vision for elevating our public profile and building strong relationships with providers, advocates, and legislators.
On a personal note, Yukiko is also a proud mother to her daughter, Emma, who currently attends UCA.
Yukiko is excited about her new role and advocating for the IDD community in a new way, “I am honored and humbled to become the new Executive Director of DDPA. I have big shoes to fill after Larry Stang, who dedicated his life and passion to people with IDD. I will work hard to amplify the voices of the over 14,000 people we serve and the 72 providers who go above and beyond for them! Please let me know how I can better serve you all.” -Yukiko Taylor
We can’t wait to see the incredible impact Yukiko will bring to DDPA and our statewide community. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Yukiko as she embarks on this exciting journey with us!
