We are working on calculating units needed for our supportive living residents for this upcoming year. Is there a base calculation or a procedure other providers use when projecting the number of units needed? (Q1) For example, our clients are at ADDT for 6 hours of the day 5 days/week and then they’re at the group home with shared staffing for the rest of the time. We have a select few that are at ADDT for 6 hours and have 40 hours of 1-on-1 waiver in the evenings with the rest of the time being shared staffing. The reason for this question is because we’ve always only requested the big group size shared staffing units(5-9 I think is the group size). We’ve missed out on a lot of opportunities to bill at higher rates because we didn’t have the 1-4 shared staffing units or even 1 on 1 units in our PA.
