We have clients under private pay. We do $58 a day and then add an additional cost if they need our transportation based on mileage to and from the ADDT.
We have in the past if did not have Medicaid or the wrong type of Medicaid. We charged the same rate as Medicaid pays.
I just suggested the parent make a donation if they wanted to.
It is unique for us since we are a border state. Technically no we do not have any residents from Arkansas who pay privately for ADDT. However, since Texas stopped letting us bill day habilitation services (their equivalent to ADDT) we have Texas clients who pay private pay or we have them come at no cost. They are incorporated into ADDT programming at times but they do not qualify for ADDT since they don’t have AR Medicaid so we couldn’t bill for them. We charge $30 per day which is less than AR. It is the Texas rate we use.
My understanding with licensure is all ADDT consumers must receive Medicaid.
We, Life Styles, have had individuals private pay for ADDT services. We charge $11.77/hr.
Easterseals has had one and we charged the same as Medicaid rate/hour of attendance.
We have a handful of clients for whom we receive no funding. We do not charge for this service but we do limit the number we serve without funding. We also make sure we are helping them secure funding if that is a possibility.
