We (Civitan Services) do not close other than a day or two over the 4th of July holiday (depending on where the 4th falls in the week). Full time employees are eligible for pay for these days if they follow appropriate guidelines in our handbook. We pay our employees for that time, but some choose to work (especially the teachers, teacher assistants, and admin). If they choose to work, we allow them to bank those hours for extra PTO to use another day.
