when a facility was constructed if a sprinkler system is required, all new facility construction for schools or similar facilities typically requires a sprinkler system. Stephanie Smith ssmith@EasterSealsAR.com I've never heard of a square footage exemption, but I do know that they are required. Rebecca Rebecca@sparkark.org I can’t find anything about sprinkler systems in the EIDT, ADDT or childcare manuals. The only mention is in the older “Center Based “ Standards. And even that says “….and/or sprinkler system” which makes it sounds like it isn’t a requirement. Looking forward to others response on this one. Leah Henderson lhenderson@civitanservices.com New! I think most new construction will require it. Older “maybe” expempt, but a lot I’ve found depends on what your local fire marshall says or how they interpret the code. I’ve pretty much found, what they say is the law.
Are sprinkler systems required across the board or are there exceptions or square footage requirements?
