This class is around 4 hours long and typically have the scheduled class filled/show; but, we do have some individuals that are a No Call No Show even after sending reminders of their scheduled class. We would like to know what other providers are doing for their CPR/1st Aid Training requirements for Waiver, ADDT & EIDT? – Are your classes in person or online? -How long does your class take to complete? -Are other providers struggling with the NCNS employees?
CPR/First Aid Training – Provider Feedback American Red Cross: Training starts online, followed by an in-person skills check. American Heart Association: If staff prefer not to use the standard training, they are allowed to complete it independently. Reimbursement: Agencies may reimburse employees who complete their own training. Onsite Nurse: Some providers have a nurse onsite who conducts training once per month. Training Frequency: Other agencies offer classes every two weeks, depending on demand. No Call/No Show (NCNS) Situations If an employee’s certification is expired, they are not permitted to work until it is renewed. Renewal classes are typically scheduled two months prior to the expiration date. In some cases, clients have attended training sessions and received certification as well.
