As usual this time of year we are completing our CACFP food program app to qualify for free and reduced lunch reimbursement. It is normally quite an effort to complete all the info. on the applications. BUT this year it just ridiculous, it seems to me, the amount of information they are demanding. I know that the food program is now under the Department of Education which may be the reason it seems so taxing. Any other programs experiencing this as well?
I agree it has gotten worse every year but this year is way over the top! It was not a fun conversation asking for all of this information from my Board members. Elissa Douglas elissa@indliving.org Yes. The requirement for the Directors of our Board to sign and notarize the document and also provide a copy of their driver's license is significant overreach and unnecessary. If an organization is a for profit they do not have this requirement. Stephanie Smith ssmith@EasterSealsAR.com Agree with Stephanie. It is overly burdensome. Deanna Doherty doherty.deanna@advantageseark.org I absolutely agree!! Anita Orrick donimartin.dmc@gmail.com Yes, it is more cumbersome than ever. Janie Sexton jsexton@buildingbridgesar.org It has been a nightmare and obviously the new department has no idea what they are doing. Lynn Cooper lcooper@tlcnea.
